Our History

Pentegra systems LLC was formed in October 2000 by Ed Karl and Greg Augspurger with the goal of becoming the premier systems integrator of converging technologies. Each with unique experience and talents, the founders targeted successful niche communication contractors for acquisition to effectively expand the companies’ core competencies.

The three companies acquired and combined to eventually form the foundation of Pentegra Systems are Wizdum Audio, Integrated Media Systems and Farnsworth Computer Services.

Wizdum Audio specialized in the design, installation and service of professional audio and video systems.

Integrated Media Systems functioned as a full-service audio/video integrator, concentrating on design, installation and support of A/V, security camera monitoring, card access, media retrieval and networked multimedia systems.

Farnsworth Computer Services began as the original Apple Computer store in Chicago, consulting, designing and installing complete networking solutions including data cabling, network hardware and networked telephony.

Additional growth has come from targeting and hiring new employees with specific skill sets and expertise. The combination and strategy for growth has positioned Pentegra Systems as a single organization with the skills and resources to provide the best solutions and services for all of its clients.
