Network Engineer

 

Overview:

As a member of the professional services team, the Network Engineer serves two important roles. The first involves providing quality services to our network services clients on a contractual and project basis. The second involves supporting and assisting other disciplines with network resources and programming resources.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide network and consulting services to assigned clients. Review project scope and/or contract beforehand and demonstrate sound understanding of business requirements and technical solution.
  • Support engineering staff with network resource needs.
  • Assist with configuring and setting up various systems for clients.
  • Acquire certifications required by Pentegra Systems.

Qualifications:

  • Windows Infrastructure
    • Infrastructure support experience within SMB market space
      • Windows WIN10/11, Windows Server 2012R2 -2019
      • Citrix Presentation/XenApp Server experience (Installation, Migration and Troubleshooting)
      • Virtualization technologies including Hyper-V, VMWare, and Azure Virtual Desktop
    • 3+ years of Windows 2012R2-2019 Administration and Troubleshooting
      • Active Directory Administration, Backup and Recovery
      • Group Policy Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting
      • Server O.S Installations, Upgrades, Migrations
      • Security/Patch delivery with WSUS or Third-Party Packages
      • Experience with DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, NPS
    • 3+ years of Microsoft Exchange 2016-2019
      • Significant understanding of Exchange architecture and databases structures
      • Ability to isolate complex Exchange issues
      • Ability to provide perform complex database operations
      • Proficiency with Exchange backup and recovery practices
  • Network Infrastructure
  • 3 years of network infrastructure administration and troubleshooting
      • Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocol
      • Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware
      • Switches and routers: Cisco, Meraki, HP/Aruba
      • VLAN configurations and troubleshooting
      • Experience with DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, NPS
      • Experience in troubleshooting and isolating issues in complex LAN environments
      • 2 Years of firewall & security administration
      • Administration and troubleshooting of VPN issues
      • Understanding & support of Cisco FTD, FortiGate, Palo Alto.
      • Establish site-2-site VPN tunnels with clients.
      • Client VPN configurations and troubleshooting
  • 3 Years of LAN/WLAN administration
      • Installing and troubleshooting stand-alone access points.
      • Install, manage, and troubleshooting Wireless LAN Controllers.
      • Understanding and support of Meraki, Cisco, Aruba, Ubiquiti Access Points and controllers
  • Upgrade, repair, and maintain computer networks.
  • Assist network engineers with the design of network models whenever needed.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communications, presentation and people skills
  • Advantages
