Schaumberg's Village-Wide Security Project

Schaumburg is a well-known northwestern suburb of Chicago of about 75,000 residents and has been ranked as one of the best places to live in Illinois. Below is a case study written by Robert D. Grossman of Security Sales & Integration Magazine about the video security system installations taking place across the Village of Schaumburg. This was a multi-phase project to add video cameras to various properties in the village with a goal of creating an “enterprise platform for video security.” Mr. Grossman outlines the difficultly and uniqueness of the project and how Pentegra earned “high praise” for their multicollaboration with village departments and personnel throughout Phase 1. He also details how Pentegra “went the extra mile” to solve problems as they arose and ensured the equipment blended in with surroundings. The project started with Phase 1 in 2016 and wrapped up in 2017. Phase 2 was completed in 2018 and Phase 3 is set to begin in summer of 2019.
